§ 71.02. STATE SPEED LAWS; URBAN SPEED LIMIT.

(A) Unless otherwise stated, the state traffic laws regulating the speed of vehicles shall be applicable upon all streets within the city.
(B) The urban speed limit on any segment of street within the city shall be 30 miles per hour unless:
(1) It is shown otherwise for that segment of street on the official list of speed zones maintained by the Board of Public Works and Safety; and
(2) The speed limit is evidenced with signs on that segment of street.

(C) Violations of city ordinances and/or this code regarding speed regulations will be enforced through the issuance of city tickets except where or as prohibited by state statute. These city tickets will not be issued on U.S. 30, S.R. 49, S.R. 130 or S.R. 2.
