§ 115.01. DEFINITIONS.

  • For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
    DEALER. A person licensed to engage in the business of buying or selling motor vehicles.
    ESTABLISHED PLACE OF BUSINESS. A permanent enclosed building or structure owned or leased for the purpose of bartering, trading and selling motor vehicles. The term ESTABLISHED PLACE OF BUSINESS does not include any residence, tent, temporary stand or permanent quarters temporarily occupied.
    MOTOR VEHICLE. Any self-propelled vehicle, other than a semitrailer, for which the owner would be required to obtain a certificate of title pursuant to I.C. 9-17-2-1 et seq.
    TEMPORARY LOCATION. A site, other than an established place of business, at which a dealer exhibits for sale more than six motor vehicles.
