§ 150.04. HOUSE MOVING.

  • (A) No person shall move from one point to another within the city over, upon or across any public street or alley within the city any house, building or other structure without first having obtained a license to do so as hereinafter provided.

    (B) Any person desiring to obtain a license shall pay to the Clerk-Treasurer the sum of $50. The Clerk-Treasurer shall, thereupon, issue to the applicant a license for a period of one year from the time of issuance, which license shall be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the Clerk-Treasurer.

    (C) No license shall be issued until the applicant shall have filed a bond of sureties, to be approved by the Mayor, in the sum of $10,000 conditioned that the then applicant will save the city harmless from all damages occurring to any person, or to the city streets or property, by reason of the occupancy of the streets in moving any house, building or other structure.

    (D) Removal of buildings and occupancy of the streets of the city shall be subject to the supervision and control of the Chief of Police.
